The Capo Song

Words by Ian Barlow
Music by The Dig

Step with heels while silent in a grove.
On my third when floods are pushed to move.
When its done the waves will over turn,
The tallest spire like fire on the burn.
But it's easier to swim on.

Ive touched to coldest of the vine and turned it into wine.
A dream is only flesh and bone when seen through someone's eyes.
In other times the prose are fair but make you unaware that your
Short of air but your visions clear.

Run don't reel to feel the day break down,
And through the scope they seem to carry on.
Around the end your ease is overcome,
By second thoughts abounding like the sun.
But it's easier to swim on.

To see the coldest eyes entwined and back to the divine.
A dream is only etched in stone when seen through jaunty eyes.
In human form were visions stand until we kill demands of a
Short flight in and falling again.

I'll make my presence wilt,
When I earn a stronger will,
While handled by the hilt.
Im something that can be Appraised, or Displaced when Disgraced.
I set my pace and leave the spire flames.
